Your Creative Side Mission
Igniting creativity and self-belief in every student, encouraging them to see new possibilities for their future.
Providing a safe, supportive space where teens can explore emotions and share their stories through art.
Empowering participants to complete community service hours while building confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
Creating meaningful connections through creative classes with students and teachers that share the enjoyment of art.
Guided by EFA Faculty students gain skills, encouragement, and the confidence to move forward.
The Your Creative Side Program
This program was founded in 2003 by long-time Edmond Judge, Alan Synar to provide art classes and encourage self-expression to justice-involved youth.

Your Creative Side is delivered in partnership with the Edmond Juvenile Court and provides a six-week, instructor-led art program through which teens fulfill court-mandated community service hours while developing confidence, emotional expression, and positive community connection in a supportive environment.

YOUR CREATIVE SIDE INSTRUCTOR
GARY LENNON
“Teaching the Your Creative Side program at Edmond Fine Arts means creating a space where young people can be seen, heard, and valued beyond their circumstances. Art becomes their voice; it builds confidence, opens doors to self-expression, and reminds them that their story matters and their future holds possibility.”
