MARCH GALLERY SHOW "XO -The West"
The Edmond Fine Arts Institute is thrilled to announce its upcoming gallery show titled "XO - The West," opening on Thursday, March 7th, from 5pm to 7pm. The exhibition will showcase a thoughtfully curated selection of artwork by eight talented Oklahoma artists: Clayton Beavers, Chris Cargill, Greg Erway, Jack Fowler, Tim Long, Natalie Miller, Tanner Muse, and Savannah Whitehead.
"XO - The West" promises to captivate art enthusiasts with its unique focus on Western contemporary and pop Western artwork, exploring the timeless allure of the American West. Each artist brings their distinctive perspective and style to the theme, offering viewers a diverse and thought-provoking experience.
The curatorial statement for the exhibition succinctly captures its essence: "Eight artists that create in the great state of Oklahoma." This statement underscores the regional pride and artistic richness found within Oklahoma's creative community. "XO - The West" invites attendees to immerse themselves in the spirit of the West through a vibrant array of mediums and styles. Whether it's the rugged beauty of the landscape or the enduring mystique of Western iconography, each artwork tells a compelling story of the West's enduring legacy.
“I am excited to have had the opportunity to work with and curate pieces created by these exceptional Oklahoma artists," said Savannah Whitehead, curator of the show and Program Director at the Edmond Fine Arts Institute. " 'XO -The West' is a celebration of an age-old theme with the contemporary twist that these eight artists create their artwork in."
These are the next artists coming to the FAI Gallery.
