WELCOME  TO

DID YOU KNOW?

Students in Edmond Public Schools do not receive formal

art education classes until 5th grade?

In 2002, Edmond Fine Arts Institute (FAI) and Edmond Public Schools(EPS) began a creative partnership so 3rd and 4th-grade students could have weekly art education lessons all year. What started as a pilot-program in three elementary schools has grown to include every EPS elementary school!

FUN FACT: This school year FAI Instructors will teach 4,704 art lessons to over 4,500 students.

As a 501c3 nonprofit, FAI relies on support from individuals, businesses, and foundations to fund the Art in Schools Program.

FAI RAISES $140,000 EACH YEAR SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS PROGRAM

Get to Know Us

Art education stimulates creativity, knowledge, self-discovery, communication, and problem-solving skills, which are crucial to a successful, well-rounded education. Currently, the Art in Schools Program focuses on 3rd and 4th-grade students, but with sustainable funding, we aim to provide ALL K–4th-grade students in Edmond with art education each week!
