INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT IS ON GARY LENNON
Gary Lennon, now in his 9th year as a teacher at the Fine Arts Institute, "is revered by everyone here", states Mitzi Hancuff, Executive Director. "He has a tremendous following of both adult and child students who appreciate his gifts as a teacher, artist, friend and motivator." Gary grew up in southern California where he started drawing at 5 years old and painting at 10. He is a self taught artist who continually uses new media to expand his talent. Gary loves pastels, but also excels in watercolor, acrylic, oil, pencil and as an airbrush artist. He teaches all ages in the same manner and believes one should "treat children as if they were already the people they are capable of becoming".
Along with teaching a variety of classes here at the FAI, Gary paints murals and other commissioned work. He exhibits locally and often presents seminars to art groups. Gary is married to Mary, manager of AAA Travel in Edmond, and has two children, Garrett and Chelsea.
What a pleasure to have Gary Lennon on the faculty at the Fine Arts Institute.
