This class is designed to improve the actor's fundamentals and understanding of acting through use of scenes, monologues and improvisation. Actors will be taught movement, vocal exercises, character and script analysis. Previous performance experience or participation in a theatre class or camp is required.

Working with a script, young actors will create characters through creative choices in voice and movement. Theatre terms and techniques will be learned through theatre games. A final class presentation of a familiar folktale or legend will take place in the last class.

From the Pretend Box, we will develop scenes from the fables and folk tales to be presented to parents during the last class. New materials and ideas will be explored.
